The final game of Week 5 features the Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1). Will Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy be in the lineup?

Worthy was a full participant at Chiefs’ practice this past week. After the Chiefs landed in Jacksonville, Worthy was a surprising addition to the injury report.
The Chiefs’ wide receiver is questionable with a shoulder and ankle injury. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Worthy’s ankle swelled up on the plane to Jacksonville. Despite the injury designation, Worthy is expected to play on Monday night.
Worthy notably suffered a dislocated shoulder after colliding with Travis Kelce on the Chiefs’ first drive of the season in the loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil. Worthy missed the team’s next two games.
Worthy returned to action in Week 4’s win against the Baltimore Ravens. The offense instantly became more dynamic thanks to Worthy’s speed and playmaking ability.
Worthy led the team in receiving — five receptions for 83 yards — and rushing — two carries for 38 yards — in the Chiefs’ 37-20 victory over the Ravens.

Monday night’s game between the Chiefs and Jaguars has several fascinating implications involving the AFC.
With a win, the Chiefs will be 3-2 and in a three-way tie for first place with the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos. The Chargers would have the tiebreaker thanks to wins over the Chiefs and Broncos.
However, Kansas City looked dead in the water for the division after the Chargers’ 3-0 start. Due to some injuries, the Chargers have lost two consecutive games, opening the door for Kansas City to climb back into the AFC West picture.
Worthy reignited the Chiefs’ offense in Week 4 with their highest point total of the season, 37. There is still more help on the way. Rashee Rice is suspended for the first six games of the season.
Rice will sit out tonight against the Jaguars and next week versus the Detroit Lions. Rice is eligible to play in Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Once Rice comes back, the Chiefs’ offense should vastly improve, giving Mahomes another talented pass catcher.
The Chiefs now face a Jaguars’ defense that has forced the most turnovers (13) in the NFL. If Mahomes turns the ball over, it’s going to be a long night for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs are 3.5-point favorites against the Jaguars.
