Pittsburgh Steelers Trade Rumors: 5 WRs To Target At The Trade Deadline

The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly in the market to add another offensive weapon for veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers at the trade deadline. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Steelers are looking to add a top-tier wide receiver to pair with star D.K. Metcalf. With the Nov. 4 deadline still three weeks away, we’ll break down five wide receivers who could be realistic additions to the Steelers wide receiver room.

Jakobi Myers

The Las Vegas Raiders will likely be fielding calls for wide receiver Jakobi Myers at the trade deadline. The Raiders top target requested a trade before the start of the season after talks on a new contract extension stalled. Las Vegas ultimately called Myers’ bluff and he showed up in time for the start of the season. After notching his first career 1,000-yard season in 2024, Myers’ production is trending down so far this season, giving the Steelers a chance to buy low on a possession receiver who could be a strong complement to Metcalf on the outside.

Rashid Shaheed

In the NFL, speed kills and few players are as dangerous with the ball in their hands as Rashid Shaheed. The Saints wide receiver appeared on the verge of breaking out last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Shaheed has improved his route-running and proved that he still has the type of top-end speed that offensive coordinators covet. In Week 5 against the NY Giants, Shaheed caught four passes for 114 yards, including a career-long 87-yard touchdown. While fellow teammate Chris Olave would likely make a bigger splash, Shaheed has proven to be a reliable weapon and could come at a much cheaper price than the former first-round pick.

Chris Olave

Oft-injured wide receiver Chris Olave has concussion concerns and has been dealing with ankle issues but is coming off of his best game of the season against the New England Patriots. Olave caught six passes for 98 yards and a touchdown last week. He’s had at least 10 targets in five of the first six games of the year but it hasn’t amounted to the type of production that he’s used to. After notching 1,000-yard campaigns in each of his first two seasons, Olave has compiled just 342 yards through six games while averaging a career-low 8.8 yards per catch. While some of that can be attributed to the Saints’ offense, Olave also struggled to produce last season, notching just 400 yards in eight games.

Calvin Ridley

The Tennessee Titans signed Calvin Ridley to a big contract but the new regime might be ready to cut ties with the veteran wide receiver if it can get some draft capital in return. The Titans clearly need more pieces to build around No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward and Ridley appears to be one of the few players on offense with any trade value. While Tennessee would likely have to eat some salary to make a deal work, the Steelers might be the perfect trade partner. Pittsburgh is clearly in win-now mode with Aaron Rodgers under center and the Steelers may have up to 12 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, giving them enough firepower to incentivize the Titans to eat a big chunk of Ridley’s contract.

D.J. Moore

As of this writing, the Chicago Bears are unlikely to be sellers at the trade deadline with a 3-2 record but a lot can change in the coming weeks. The NFC North is stacked with potential Super Bowl contenders in the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, so it might make sense for the Bears to continue to build towards the future. Moore has been an effective big play threat since coming into the NFL in 2017 but has been underutilized in new head coach Ben Johnson’s offense. That could make him an expendable piece in Chicago, where rookie Luther Burden appears to be ready for more reps on the outside.
