Katerina Siniakova Trying To Win Ningbo Open With 5th Different Partner In 2025

Katerina Siniakova, 29, is once again showing the tennis world why she is the best doubles player of this generation.

Currently seeded World No. 1, Siniakova is vying to win a title with her fifth different partner this year.

Katerina Siniakova Wins With Everyone

Siniakova has won WTA 500, WTA 1000, and Grand Slam tournaments with various partners.

Taylor Townsend

She started the year winning the Australian Open and Dubai with American Taylor Townsend. Though she and Townsend have played the Grand Slams and will be competing at the WTA Finals together, it has been interesting how the two have played different tournaments with other partners in the interim.

Sem Verbeek

Her wins are not exclusive with female partners. The 2024 Paris Olympics mixed doubles gold medalist (with Tomas Machac) teamed with Sem Verbeek to win Wimbledon mixed doubles.

Barbora Krejcikova

Czech Republic fans were delighted to see that Siniakova reunited with her compatriot Barbora Krejcikova, with whom she won an Olympic gold medal (2020 Tokyo), the 2021 WTA Finals, and seven of her 10 Grand Slams, at the Korea Open. The pair picked up where they left off before Siniakova initiated a parting of the ways in late 2023 by becoming the Korea Open champions.

Storm Hunter

Shortly thereafter, she teamed with Australian Storm Hunter to win the Wuhan Open.

Hsieh Su-wei

This week, she is playing with Hsieh Su-wei, a doubles legend in her own right with seven Grand Slam (and two mixed doubles Grand Slam) wins and still thriving on the WTA Tour at the age of 39, at the Ningbo Open. Hsieh was the World No. 1 in ladies doubles in May 2014. The pair are playing their semifinal match on Saturday.

Between Siniakova and Hsieh, they have 67 WTA titles (35 for Hsieh and 32 for Siniakova). The only active player with more is Sara Errani at 36.

Who Will Siniakova Play With In 2025?

Her last four Grand Slams wins have been with three different partners: Coco Gauff (2024 French Open), Taylor Townsend (2024 US Open and 2025 Australian Open), and Verbeek (2025 Wimbledon). Will Siniakova seek out new partners for 2025?

It will be interesting to follow Siniakova’s and Townsend’s path at the WTA Finals. If they do not play well, could they be headed for a parting of the ways in 2026?
