Calais Campbell and Budda Baker celebrate.

The Arizona Cardinals are 2-5 and tied for the second-worst record in the NFC. With the trade deadline set for Nov. 4, should the Cardinals consider selling? Here are three players that the Arizona Cardinals could move in a trade.

Budda Baker

Budda Baker is arguably the Cardinals’ best player regardless of position.

The veteran is a tackling machine (49 tackles) from the safety position this year. Baker also has two passes defended.

The Cardinals have the 10th-worst passing defense (234.9 yards per game), which would be a lot worse if Baker were not in the lineup.

Just because a team is bad does not mean it should move its good players. Baker also signed a three-year, $54 million contract extension in December 2024, which narrows down the list of suitors who could afford that price.

However, the Cardinals are expected to enter a rebuild after the season. Trading Baker now could initiate that process, and teams like the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys could use another safety to strengthen their defense.

Calais Campbell

Calais Campbell is 39 going on 29.

The veteran defensive tackle has been one of the lone bright spots for the Cardinals’ defense. Campbell has 12 tackles, 10 pressures, five quarterback hits, and three sacks in seven games.

Campbell has stated that 2025 will likely be his last season. If Campbell wants to stay in Arizona, he will likely get his wish.

However, Campbell is so respected in that organization that if he asked to be traded to a contender for his final season, Arizona’s front office would probably do him that favor.

Campbell would probably net a fourth- or fifth-round pick in the draft. Several teams — including the Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, and Buffalo Bills — would love to place Campbell in the heart of their defenses.

Zay Jones

There is nothing flashy about trading Zay Jones. The 30-year-old only has 12 receptions for 183 yards this season.

Jones signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals this past offseason, so Arizona could easily move that contract.

Many teams around the NFL have significant injuries in their receiver room.

Teams like the Tampa Buccaneers, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, and Dallas Cowboys have experienced injuries to key receivers.

Jones is not a difference maker at his age. However, Jones could be a third option or an injury replacement for a team looking to make a push for the postseason.
