Glinda Upland (Grande) is now Glinda the Good, a kind witch who lives at the palace in Emerald City. Meanwhile, Elphaba Thropp (Erivo) has been exiled from Oz and lives as a fugitive. Known as The Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba is fighting for the silenced animals of Oz and hopes to expose the secrets of The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum)
“As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time,” the official synopsis reads. “With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good.”
Wicked: For Good also stars Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero Tigelaar, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp, Ethan Slater as Boq Woodsman, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, and Colman Domingo as the voice of Brrr the Cowardly Lion.
Jon M. Chu directs from a screenplay by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. Wicked: For Good is an adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical.
Universal Pictures will release Wicked: For Good in theaters on November 21, 2025.
