2025-26 NHL Hart Memorial Trophy Odds: Colorado Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon Eyes Triple Crown

Buoyed by posting nine points in back-to-back outings recently, Colorado Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon continues to trend toward accomplishing a feat not experienced since 1993.  

The high-scoring center remains on target to challenge for a rare NHL triple crown. 

Entering Thursday’s matches, MacKinnon paced the league in scoring with 33 points, amassing 14 goals and 19 assists. In comparison, Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid was second in scoring with 32 points, but he appeared in three more games. 

Along with teammate Cale Makar, the Avalanche field two of the best skaters at their positions. MacKinnon exploited the Edmonton Oilers (Nov. 9) and Vancouver Canucks (Nov. 10), collecting four goals and five assists in consecutive starts. 

MacKinnon claimed the NHL’s scoring lead following the Canucks’ outing. 

If MacKinnon, 30, ends up leading the league in goals, assists and points this season, he would become the sixth skater in NHL history to do so, joining Phil Esposito, Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Mario Lemieux and Howie Lorenz. Gretzky compiled seven triple crowns, while Lemieux claimed two. 

MacKinnon (+130) paced the sports-betting field to capture the Hart Memorial Trophy, awarded to the league’s MVP, according to a BetOnline Sportsbook listing Thursday morning. McDavid (+190) drew the second-best odds.
