The top four teams — Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M, and Georgia — remain the same in the committee’s latest rankings. With only one game remaining on the schedule, all four teams are locks to make the College Football Playoff. They may not be a top-four seed, but their resumes are strong enough to qualify for the postseason.
Oregon made an important leap in the bracket, rising over Ole Miss to No. 6 following its win over USC. With a win over Washington on Saturday, Oregon will qualify for the College Football Playoff.
The ACC Championship remains unresolved. Miami is the highest-ranked ACC team, but the Hurricanes do not control their own destiny. Miami needs to win and have multiple teams lose to make the ACC Championship.
Right now, Virginia and SMU are the two teams with win-and-in scenarios. Miami, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, and Duke can advance to the ACC championship with wins and multiple losses by other teams.
