Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson suffered an upper-body injury in Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos. How much time will Watson miss?
Christian Watson Injury Update
Update on Christian Watson: No issue with his lungs, per source. He went to the hospital yesterday in Denver for a CT scan as a precaution. He does not have any long-term injury. His status for Saturday’s game against the Bears will be determined later in the week.

What looked like a devastating injury might not be as serious after all.
Per ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Demovsky does “not have any long-term injury” after landing hard on his upper body in the third quarter of the Packers’ 34-26 loss to the Broncos.
Watson went to the hospital in Denver for a precautionary CT scan to examine his chest and shoulders for injuries. Watson has no issue with his lungs.
Watson’s status for Saturday’s game against the Chicago Bears will be determined “later in the week.”
“I tried to step into it, and I got hit as I was throwing and it just ended up being a little bit short and Pat made a really good play to be able to track it and jump in front of Christian,” Jordan Love said about the throw that injure Watson via ESPN. “So, that’s a tough one. I’ll see what happened. I tried to see the replay but it’s an unfortunate play and then, obviously, with Christian going down on that, it makes it even worse. I’ll see what I can do better on that play and if I can get it out there or how we can improve, but I liked the concept we had and the read we had.”
It’s a sigh of relief for the Packers, as Watson was starting to hit his stride in the Packers’ offense. Watson missed the first six games of the season while recovering from a knee injury that ended his season in 2024.
Watson has 28 receptions for 481 yards and five touchdowns in eight games.

Watson will likely play again in 2025. Micah Parsons can’t say the same thing.
Parsons will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in the third quarter of Sunday’s loss.
In a social media post, Parsons said that he might be “sidelined” for the reason of the season, but he is not “defeated.”
Parsons ended his 2025 season with 12.5 sacks, making him the first player in NFL history to have at least 12 sacks in five straight seasons to start a career.
With the loss, the Packers dropped to 9-4-1 and fell to the No. 7 seed in the NFC. That could change this weekend when the Packers travel to Soldier Field on Saturday night to play the Chicago Bears (10-4).
