WATCH Knicks Josh Hart Sticks Thumb In Jalen Brunson Butt After NBA Cup Victory

It was an embarrassing moment for Josh Hart on Tuesday night, when cameras caught him sticking his thumb where it shouldn’t be after the New York Knicks’ 124-113 NBA Cup final victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Josh Hart Was Caught In 4k

“Damn in 4k,” Hart posted on X with four laughing crying emojis after a video went viral, showing Hart stretching his thumb right into Brunson’s sensitive area during the trophy presentation.

Hart also said that Brunson “inch for inch, he’s probably the best,” while bursting out laughing.

Brunson quickly felt the poke around his rear end, then stopped celebrating immediately and turned around to see which of his teammates violated his personal space.

After looking toward where Miles McBride was celebrating, Brunson realized it was his ex-Villanova teammate who did a horrible job at covering it up.

Hart continued celebrating as if nothing had happened, but Brunson knew it was the former first-rounder.

Knicks To Hang NBA Cup Banner

The Knicks haven’t hung an NBA championship banner inside Madison Square Garden since 1973, but at least now they can hang their first-ever NBA Cup banner.

OG Anunoby led the Knicks with 28 points, while Jalen Brunson added 25.

“This is great and we’re going to enjoy this,” said Brunson, who was named the Emirates NBA Cup MVP. “But once we leave tomorrow, we’re moving on.”

Jordan Clarkson, who entered the game shooting 28% from beyond the arc, drained back-to-back 3s to put the Knicks ahead by three, helping to complete a comeback in which they trailed by 10 points late in the third quarter.

Clarkson went on to finish with 15 points off the bench.

New York Handled The Pressure

The Knicks had already defeated struggling teams like the Charlotte Hornets and Milwaukee Bucks during group play, but their last three wins came against the Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, and Spurs.

“This is a single-elimination tournament when you get to a certain point, so every game counts,” Knicks coach Mike Brown said. “There was pressure on every game if you expect to be who you think you are. When you’re able to have success, it breeds confidence in everybody in the organization.

“That can propel you come the right time when you’re in that environment to be able to handle the pressure because you’ve already been through it.”

Knicks star big man Karl-Anthony Towns had 16 points and 11 rebounds despite battling a calf injury.

He went into the locker room with a minute left before halftime and later exited with 5:06 remaining in the third quarter and didn’t return until late in the fourth.

The Knicks outscored San Antonio 35-19 in the final frame.
