NHL Stanley Cup Championship Odds: Colorado Avalanche Rolling Through Regular Season

The NHL-leading Colorado Avalanche continue to roll through the regular season.

After trailing the Seattle Kraken following two periods Wednesday at Climate Pledge Arena, the Avalanche, sparked by Nathan MacKinnon’s two goals and assist, converted three consecutive goals to earn a 5-3 victory, improving their winning streak to three games.

The Avalanche found another way to win.

At 24-2-7, the Avalanche (+375) drew the top odds to capture the 2025-26 Stanley Cup championship, according to BetOnline Sportsbook.

With MacKinnon leading the league’s forwards in scoring (58 points), Cale Makar pacing the defensemen with 10 goals among 30 assists and goalie Scott Wedgewood tied for second for wins (14), the Avalanche have dominated at all three levels.

There’s one aspect the Avalanche need to improve: power-play efficiency.

They rank No. 18 in the league, converting on just 15.7 percent of man-advantage situations.

“The power play is one of the things we continue to work on,” Gabriel Landeskog said, as reported by Yahoo Sports. “We’re understanding where we’re at; we’re understanding that if our power play can start chipping in goals on a nightly basis, obviously that makes a big difference.

“Sometimes there are tweaks to be made we make them no problem, but I think the power play is kind of the same as the rest of our game as we continue to work on it; we’re going to find ways (to succeed), and I’m not worried about it.”
