Coby White was the 7th overall pick by the Bulls in the 2019 NBA draft out of North Carolina. He is currently in his seventh season with the Bulls. White has averaged 20+ points per game in each of his last two seasons. His 21.2 points per game lead Chicago in 2025-26. While Coby White is playing well this season. He is on an expiring contract. One trade suitor for Coby White could be the Pistons. Early rumors are that Detroit is not interested in making a splashy trade. Jaden Ivey’s production has taken a step back in 2025-26. Team insiders have suggested that Detroit trade Jaden Ivey for Coby White as a short-term replacement.
White is on an expiring deal. If the Pistons did make a trade for him, they would not be obligated to keep him long-term. At 22-6, Detroit owns the top record in the East.
