Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is nursing a foot injury that could threaten his status for Week 18’s game against the New York Jets.

Will Allen play on Sunday against the Jets?
The reigning MVP is battling a foot injury he suffered in the Week 17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Allen did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday, putting his status for Sunday’s game in jeopardy.
However, Allen returned to practice on Friday as a limited participant, and coach Sean McDermott told the media that his star quarterback is “good to go” against the Jets.
One of the reasons why Allen wants to play involves his consecutive games streak. Including the postseason, Allen has started in 134 straight games, including 121 in the regular season.
It’s the third-longest streak in the NFL, behind Falcons lineman Jake Matthews (199) and Bears defensive back Kevin Byard (162).
Without counting Philip Rivers, who extended his streak to 255 with these three recent starts with the Colts, Allen leads active quarterbacks in most consecutive starts.
In 2024, Allen played one snap in the regular season finale before exiting the game. The same thing might happen this year, with backup Mitchell Trubisky expected to play most of the snaps for the Bills.
Sunday’s game also holds sentimental value for Allen, as the Bills say goodbye to Highmark Stadium. Next year, the Bills will move into their new stadium starting with the 2026 season.

The Buffalo Bills (11-5) have clinched a postseason berth and will be one of the three wild card teams in the AFC.
The seeding can still change depending on Week 18’s results.
Right now, the Buffalo Bills are the No. 7 seed behind the No. 6 Los Angeles Chargers (11-5) and the No. 5 Houston Texans (11-5). If all three teams win, Buffalo will be the No. 7 seed.
If the Bills lose to the Jets, then Buffalo will be the No. 7 seed.
Buffalo can still jump to the No. 5 seed with a win, a Texans loss, and a Chargers loss.
The Chargers are playing the top-seeded Denver Broncos, who must win to get the No. 1 seed. Denver will be playing their starters, while the Chargers are choosing to rest Justin Herbert. Trey Lance will start at quarterback for the Chargers.
Either way, the Bills will be on the road during Wild Card Weekend. First, they must handle business against the Jets on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
