Lindsey Vonn has been the comeback story of the past 6 months.
Returning from improbable odds at the age of 41 after an over five year retirement and a right partial knee replacement, Vonn vows to continue the comeback in Milan Cortina.
However, there are more challenges ahead as she revealed in a press conference today that she tore the ACL in her left knee in last week’s crash in her final competition before the Olympic games.
Over the past few days, she has prepared with a knee brace and has completed a test run at Milan Cortina.

What Lindsey Vonn Said:
Speaking from the heart, she said: “I haven’t cried. I haven’t deviated from the plan…I’m not letting myself go down that path. I’m going to do my best and whatever the results, that’s what it is but I can’t say that I didn’t try.”
She is not thinking past the Olympics at this point so she did not entertain questions about surgery and long term recovery plans.
Vonn is committed to skiing all the events, but admits her meniscus is not great either. She is not 100% but also not taking pain medication.
Lindsey Vonn will ski downhill training runs with a torn ACL and go from there. LV: "I should be ok, but I can't more into it until I get into some of the bigger turns and then we'll see"…"My meniscus is not great."…"Your knee is usually good until it's not, I'll take it for… pic.twitter.com/jv39sZlZJE
