USA striker Folarin Balogun has been shown a red card against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Monaco striker had the ball in the back of the net after 31 minutes, however the goal was ruled out due to a narrow offside call.
Less than 14 minutes later, Balogun put the ball beyond Nikola Vasilj once more – but this time the goal stood as he netted his third goal of the tournament to put the US ahead in their Round of 32 matchup.
Unfortunately for the 24-year-old, things quickly turned sour in the second half.
A dangerous, albeit unfortunate, tackle from Balogun on Tarik Muharemovic saw Brazilian referee Raphael Claus consult with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) over a potential red card.
It didn’t take long for the man in the middle to make his decision, handing Balogun his marching orders on 64 minutes.

Despite the red card, the USA remain in front and are primed for advancement to the last 16.
Bosnia have begun to apply the pressure, but the US are standing strong as things stand.
Should they remain in front, they will face European powerhouses Belgium in the next round of the competition.
That match will take place on Monday night at Lumen Field in Seattle.
Balogun will be suspended for the match if the USA advance beyond Bosnia and Herzegovina.
