2025 Genesis Scottish Open: Purse, Payouts, and FedEx Cup Points

The PGA Tour heads to the Renaissance Club this weekend for the Genesis Scottish Open, where players will compete for a share of a $9 million purse. While it’s not a signature event and the purse is relatively modest, the field is stacked, with 10 of the top 13 players in the world set to compete.

Scheduled just one week before the Open Championship, the final major of the year, the Scottish Open consistently draws a strong field. Its placement on the calendar makes it an ideal warm-up, giving players the chance to fine-tune their game on a true links course under similar conditions.

In addition to the $9 million purse, the Genesis Scottish Open offers 500 FedEx Cup points and 69.6 Official World Golf Ranking points to the winner. That’s one of the highest points totals available on the OWGR calendar, thanks to the strength of the field.

Let’s go over what’s on the line this weekend at the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open.

Genesis Scottish Open 2025 Purse

The Genesis Scottish Open is a co-sanctioned event between the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. The 2025 field will feature some of the world’s top golfers, including Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and more.

The total purse is valued at $9 million, with the winner taking home $1.575 million. While the prize money isn’t as extravagant as that of signature events, it’s still larger than most regular PGA Tour event purses.

Compared to last week’s John Deere Classic, the Scottish Open purse is approximately 7% higher. Even though there’s not a lot at stake in terms of prestige, the strength of the field makes it a must-watch event.

Below, we’ll break down the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open purse and payouts for every player this weekend.

For the past six years, the Scottish Open has been held at the Renaissance Club. While the links-style course serves as a valuable tune-up for players ahead of the Open Championship, the purse has remained unchanged for the last three years.

The most recent increase came in 2023, when the purse rose by 12%, from $8 million to $9 million. Since then, both the total purse and prize payouts have remained unchanged.
