2025 RBC Heritage Purse & Payouts: $20 Million In Prize Money Up For Grabs

The 2025 RBC Heritage will tee off from South Carolina on Thursday afternoon as the world’s top golfers gather for their shot at the $20 million purse. A signature event for the second straight year, the RBC Heritage will feature one of the biggest purses of the PGA Tour season. The winner will receive $3.6 million along with 700 FedEx Cup points and the iconic Heritage Plaid Jacket.
Since it’s a signature event, the field will be limited at Hilton Head Island, with only 64 players listed this weekend. The field will feature some of the PGA Tour’s best, including world No.1 Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Aberg, Xander Schauffele, and more.
There will be no cut at the RBC Heritage, meaning players are guaranteed $41,000. Since the PGA Tour introduced signature events, the RBC Heritage purse has increased by 60%.
Let’s go over what’s on the line this weekend at the 2025 RBC Heritage.
RBC Heritage 2025 Purse
The RBC Heritage was first played in South Carolina in 1969. It’s been hosted at the Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island since the event was introduced 56 years ago. It’s another course with a rich history designed by Pete Dye with assistance from Jack Nicklaus.
The 2025 RBC Heritage purse is valued at $20 million, one of the biggest purses on the PGA Tour. It’s one of the few events on the Tour that doesn’t feature a cut, which means the event offers a huge payday for any player who qualifies.
The payout structure for the RBC Heritage will follow the standard PGA Tour allocation for signature events, meaning the winner will take home 18% of the total purse. In 2025, the winner’s share is set at a cool $3.6 million. A top-three finish guarantees players at least $1 million, while all players in the top 11 will earn at least $500,000. Meanwhile, the last-place finisher will still receive $41,000 this weekend for playing all four rounds at Harbour Golf Town Links.
Below, we’ll break down the 2025 RBC Heritage purse and payouts for every player this weekend.

2025 RBC Heritage Purse Is Up 60% Since 2022
The RBC Heritage is one of only five tournaments on the Tour that has “invitational” status. It reduces the field as players are only invited based on 20 different qualifying rules.
The purse has been listed at $20 million for the last three years since 2023. Despite the total amount remaining the same during that span, it is still one of the bigger purses on the Tour.
Since 2022, the purse has increased by 60%.
The defending champion is Scottie Scheffler and once again this weekend he will look to defend his title in South Carolina.
Here are the past winners and payouts for the RBC Heritage since 1995.
