The PGA Tour tees off from TPC River Highlands this weekend for the 2025 Travelers Championship. This signature event boasts a $20 million purse, 700 FedEx Cup points, and a field made up of the top 72 players on Tour.

As the final signature event of the season, the Travelers Championship is a must-watch, with golf’s biggest names going head-to-head in Connecticut. Players will need to be ready for a variety of weather conditions expected throughout the weekend.

Round 1 tee times begin at 8:00 a.m. ET on Thursday morning, with groups going off every 10 minutes from Hole 1. The action will span the entire day, setting the stage for a competitive and unpredictable opening round.

Since this is a signature event, every group in the field is considered a featured pairing. All players had to qualify for their shot at the $20 million prize. However, a few star-studded powerhouses are expected to draw extra attention this weekend at TPC River Highlands.

As always, all eyes will be on defending champion Scottie Scheffler, who is paired with U.S. Open winner J.J. Spaun. The duo tees off at 1:45 p.m. ET and is undoubtedly a must-watch pairing.

Other notable groups include Viktor Hovland and Robert MacIntyre at 10:15 a.m. ET, Rory McIlroy and Keegan Bradley at 10:35 a.m. ET, and Xander Schauffele alongside Collin Morikawa at 1:35 p.m. ET.

2025 Travelers Championship Round 1 Tee Times 

Tee times for the Travelers Championship begin bright and early at 8:00 a.m. ET, with groups heading off every 10 minutes from Hole 1. With a field of just 72 players, the event maintains a streamlined schedule, there are no split tees, and all pairings will start from the same location.

The opening group features Brian Campbell and Bud Cauley, who will get Round 1 underway at 8:00 a.m. ET. The final pairing of the day, Andrew Novak and Jacob Bridgeman, will close out the tee sheet at 2:05 p.m. ET.

2025 Travelers Championship Weather Forecast

There’s a range of conditions players need to prepare for this weekend at TPC River Highlands, with the forecast predicting a mix of heat, shifting winds, and spotty rain periods. 

Thursday kicks off with hot and humid conditions, reaching a high of 91°F and potential afternoon storms, paired with moderate winds gusting up to 21 mph. Friday brings cooler temperatures in the low 80s, but wind speeds increase with gusts up to 24 mph from the west and northwest. 

Saturday looks relatively calm with lighter winds and only a slight chance of showers, offering more stable playing conditions. However, Sunday’s finale will test endurance with soaring temperatures nearing 95°F, light but shifting winds, and a small risk of rain throughout the day.
