The Las Vegas Raiders fired coach Pete Carroll, the team announced on Monday. Here are three coaches the Raiders should hire after firing Carroll.

Raiders Fire Pete Carroll

It’s one and done for Carroll in Las Vegas.

“The Las Vegas Raiders have relieved Pete Carroll of his duties as head coach,” Raiders owner Mark Davis said in a statement.” We appreciate and wish him and his family all the best. Moving forward, General Manager John Spytek will lead all football operations in close collaboration with Tom Brady, including the search for the club’s next head coach. Together, they will guide football decisions with a shared focus on leadership, culture, and alignment with the organization’s long-term vision and goals.”

The decision came one day after the Raiders capped off their 2025 campaign with a win over the Kansas City Chiefs, taking the team’s record to 3-14.

The Raiders hired Carroll last offseason to spearhead a rebuild. In one of his first moves as coach, Carroll traded for Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith. The Raiders then took running back Ashton Jeanty with the No. 6 pick in the 2025 draft.

After winning the first game of the season, the Raiders lost their next four games. Before Sunday’s win, the Raiders had lost 10 consecutive games.

General manager John Spytek and partial owner Tom Brady will now lead the search for the next head coach. The Raiders are searching for their sixth head coach since 2021.

The Raiders have the No. 1 overall pick in April’s draft, and all signs point to the team taking a quarterback, with Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza or Oregon’s Dante Moore as the top candidates.

The Raiders need to overhaul their offense and defense, which finished near the bottom of their respective categories, so they must find a coach capable of expediting this rebuild.

3 Coaches The Raiders Should Hire

Brian Flores

Perhaps “The Patriot Way” could be heading to Las Vegas.

Brady is going to be one of the most influential voices in the room to decide the Raiders’ next head coach.

Mike Florio suggested that the Raiders could hire Flores as the head coach and Brian Daboll as the offensive coordinator.

Flores and Daboll were both assistant coaches in New England when Brady played quarterback.

Flores has turned the Minnesota Vikings into one of the best defensive teams in the NFL, and Daboll has a history of getting the best out of his quarterbacks — Josh Allen, Daniel Jones, and Jaxson Dart.

Flores could be the right disciplinarian to turn things around.

Kevin Stefanski

Brady, who is arguably the greatest quarterback ever, knows the importance of having a good offensive mind on the coaching staff.

Kevin Stefanski is widely respected for his offensive prowess. The Cleveland Browns fired Stefanski on Monday, making him one of the top head coaches on the market.

Stefanski is a two-time NFL Coach of the Year who specializes in offense. Pairing Stefanski with one of the young quarterbacks in the draft would be a step in the right direction.

Klint Kubiak

One of the top assistants this coaching cycle is Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.

The 38-year-old coach has helped Sam Darnold thrive with the Seattle Seahawks, who posted a 14-3 record and earned the NFC’s No. 1 seed.

Kubiak could help transform the Raiders into a dynamic offense with a rookie quarterback, Jeanty, and Brock Bowers.
