The top celebrities and athletes will get together for one of the most exciting amateur golf tournaments of the year this weekend. The American Century Championship will tee off on Friday, July 11th, 2025, bringing together fans from different sports together over their love of golf.
Practice rounds begin on Wednesday and Thursday and Edgewood Tahoe before a three-day tournament. Tee times will begin at 7:45 a.m. on Friday.
Last year, the celebrity golf tournament attracted 77,049 fans and this year’s event has an even more star-studded field. Stephen Curry, Tony Romo, Jerry Rice, and Aaron Rodgers are among the past and present stars competing for a share of a $750,000 purse this weekend.
Curry won the event in 2023 before being forced to miss the tournament last year due to a scheduling conflict with the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Former tennis star Mardy Fish is the reigning champion and is expected to be one of the top contenders once again this year.

The 2025 American Century Championship features a $750,000 purse with the winner taking home a cool $150,000. Second place will receive $70,000, and third place will earn a $40,000 check.
