The Vegas Golden Knights celebrate winning the Western Conference

What’s happening in Las Vegas for the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights is a lot of winning on home ice.

The 15-6-3 Golden Knights have 33 points.  They are in first place in the Pacific Division, four points ahead of the second-place Los Angeles Kings.

This team would probably like to play all its games at home given its win-loss record this season.

How Good Have The Vegas Golden Knights Been At Home?

The most recent win was on Friday night against the NHL’s winningest team, the 18-5 Winnipeg Jets.  It was a 4-3 thriller.

That’s par for the course for a team that did not lose its first home game until November 11.  The Vegas Golden Knights won eight straight home games before that 11/11 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.  The team has only two home losses this year with the second one coming on November 17 against the Washington Capitals.

Three of the next five Vegas Golden Knights games are at home beginning with November 30 against Utah Hockey Club December 3 against the Edmonton Oilers, and December 6 against the Dallas Stars.

How Many Home Games Do Golden Knights Have In  Coming Months?

Between November 30 and mid-February, when the NHL takes a two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, the Vegas Golden Knights have 32 games. Of these, 17 are at home, and 15 are away.

If the Golden Knights continue the winning pace at home, they could have nearly 30 wins with almost 1/3 of the season remaining.  They could outdo their 45-29-8 record from last season.
