Christian Eckes is planning a reunion with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. He will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for two events later this season.
A rookie on the Xfinity Series, Eckes posted nine wins in 114 Truck Series starts from 2018-24.
Eckes will pilot the No. 16 Chevrolet at Richmond (Aug. 15) and New Hampshire (Sept. 20), the finale of the Round of 10.
As the Truck Series preps for a return to action for the first time since June 28 at Lime Rock Park, points leader Corey Heim will continue his title quest Friday at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Heim (-155) earned the top sports-betting odds to capture his first drivers’ championship, according BetOnline Sportsbook.

San Diego Replacing Chicago on 2026 Schedule
NASCAR remains poised to depart the Midwest and return to Southern California.
Industry officials announced Wednesday that the national series will compete at a San Diego road-course race in 2026. It will effectively replace the Chicago Street Race.
NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series drivers will compete June 19-21, 2026, making it the first stock-car event at an active military base. Naval Base Coronado’s proposed track is expected to be approximately three miles long and will feature views of the Pacific Ocean and San Diego’s skyline.
