Coming off a near-perfect weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, driver Kyle Larson targets a modern NASCAR Cup Series record. The 2021 circuit titleholder remains two stage wins behind all-time leader Martin Truex Jr., who compiled 66 before retiring as a full-time competitor last season.
Larson completed in all three national series events last weekend and captured the Cup and Truck races. He had a chance at the trifecta, but an overtime restart mishap detoured the effort.
With one win and three top-five finishes in the Cup Series’ opening six events, Larson remains in second place in the driver standings with 208 points. He trails Hendrick Motorsports teammate and front-runner William Byron by 36 points.
Entering the Cup Series’ event at Martinsville Speedway this weekend, Larson (+350) and Christopher Bell received the top sports-betting odds to earn the Cup title, according to BetOnline Sportsbook.
During the previous two April races at Martinsville, Larson won the pole position by 0.001 seconds over Bubba Wallace in 2024 and earned his first win at the 0.526-mile track in 17 attempts in ‘23.
