College football’s Week 8 DraftKings main slate features 11 games loaded with explosive offenses and soft defensive matchups. For GPP contests, you want players with proven ceilings, clear volume, and a path to 25+ fantasy points, not just steady production. Below are two must-plays, two mid-tier values, and two low-priced sleepers who can win tournaments.
CFB Week 8 DFS Must Plays
Haynes King (QB, Georgia Tech – $8,300)
Haynes King brings an elite combination of passing volume and rushing upside that few quarterbacks on the slate can match. He’s averaging 32.2 DK points per game with three outings over 30. Last year, he shredded Georgia for 413 total yards and five touchdowns, showing the kind of explosion that breaks a slate.
Georgia Tech’s offense leans on King’s mobility near the goal line, where he’s already scored 9 rushing touchdowns since the start of 2025. Facing Duke, a defense that struggles to contain mobile QBs, King should again operate with heavy volume. You’re getting a player with a top-five ceiling at the position who won’t come with overwhelming ownership.
Jeremiah Smith (WR, Ohio State – $9,000)
Jeremiah Smith is the focal point of one of the nation’s most efficient passing attacks. He’s producing 24.4 DK points per game while leading Ohio State in targets, receptions, and yards per route run. His Rose Bowl line of seven catches, 187 yards, and two scores remains a reminder of how dangerous he is when fully featured.
Against Wisconsin, Smith faces a secondary that can be beaten on vertical concepts. With 76 catches, 1,315 yards, and 15 touchdowns last season, Smith’s consistency and big-play ability make him the kind of high-priced option you build lineups around.
DraftKings Week 8 CFB Value Picks ($4,000–$6,000)
Kevorian Barnes (RB, TCU – $4,900)
Barnes is underpriced for his workload. He’s logged double-digit carries in every game he’s played and finally looks healthy after missing time earlier this season. TCU’s offense operates at one of the fastest paces in the country, and Barnes has averaged 6.8 yards per carry since returning.
Baylor’s defense ranks 116th nationally in stop rate (50%), creating a clear opportunity for a breakout game. With scoring chances expected to rise in a matchup projected to go back and forth, Barnes offers three-down usage at a price that’s ideal for tournament builds.
Michael Trigg (TE/WR, Baylor – $5,800)
Trigg isn’t a traditional tight end, he’s a slot receiver in a tight end’s body and has become a go-to target in Baylor’s spread attack. He’s averaging 16.7 DK points and recently posted eight receptions for 155 yards against Kansas State, the most ever by a Baylor tight end.
He saw 10 targets in that game and continues to be featured in high-leverage situations. With TCU on tap and a projected total near 60 points, Trigg’s combination of volume, athleticism, and red-zone work makes him a strong mid-range pivot who could easily top 25 points.
College Football DFS Week 8 Sleepers (Under $4,000)
Isaiah Sategna III (WR, Oklahoma – $3,600)
Sategna is a sneaky GPP option with legitimate production to back it up. He’s caught 30 passes for 420 yards and three touchdowns across six games, averaging 15.4 DK points despite inconsistent quarterback play.
His deep-threat ability (14 yards per catch) gives him slate-breaking upside against South Carolina’s shaky secondary. At $3.6K, Sategna’s a low-cost way to get exposure to a passing attack capable of chunk plays. He doesn’t need much to pay off, but his ceiling makes him one of the best sub-$4K bets available.
Que’Sean Brown (WR, Duke – $3,900)
Brown is Duke’s most reliable wideout, leading the team with 27 catches and 400 yards. He’s averaging 66.7 yards per game and has six receptions of 25+ yards this season. Duke has leaned on him heavily in the short and intermediate game, giving him at least six targets in four of six matchups.
He now faces a Georgia Tech team that forces opponents to throw to keep up. Brown’s 14.4 yards per reception and growing target share make him a strong candidate to outperform his price tag. He’s an ideal GPP dart who offers both volume stability and explosive-play potential.
