The Syracuse Orange and Boston College Eagles meet this Saturday in Chestnut Hill, rekindling an ACC rivalry. Syracuse arrives with momentum at 6-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Boston College, meanwhile, sits at 4-4, including a disappointing 1-3 ACC record under first-year head coach Bill O’Brien. After three consecutive losses, the Eagles are facing a crucial juncture in their season.

Kickoff is set for noon, and with bowl eligibility hanging in the balance, this game feels like a must-win for Boston College. O’Brien has had two weeks to prepare his team, looking to exploit a Syracuse defense ranked 107th nationally against the run. While the Eagles’ offense has struggled with inconsistency—especially under quarterback Thomas Castellanos—O’Brien’s offensive acumen will be critical. He’ll need to find ways to attack an Orange defense vulnerable on the ground.

The challenge for Boston College lies in stopping a Syracuse offense that ranks 42nd in scoring. The Eagles, however, have been solid at home, allowing just 39 points across three wins before their recent stumble against Louisville. If Boston College can rediscover that defensive form and make the necessary adjustments, they’ll have a shot to keep their bowl hopes alive.

Prediction: Boston College 30 – Syracuse 23

Best Bet: Boston College -2

Georgia vs. Ole Miss Betting Preview and Expert Pick

All Georgia vs. Ole Miss odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook and are correct as of Wednesday, Nov. 6.

The Georgia Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels are set to clash in a pivotal SEC showdown this Saturday afternoon. Georgia, sitting at 7-1, looks every bit the powerhouse, fresh off a home victory over Florida. But for all their success, the Bulldogs have struggled to cover the spread, failing to do so in their last six games as favorites. Ole Miss, meanwhile, boasts a 7-2 record and brings an explosive offensive attack into this matchup, highlighted by a dominant performance against Arkansas last week, where they dropped 63 points on the road.

Jaxson Dart has been nothing short of sensational, completing nearly 72% of his passes for over 3,200 yards and 21 touchdowns. His chemistry with receivers Tre Harris and Cayden Lee, who have combined for over 1,600 yards, has been a cornerstone of the Rebels’ success. On the ground, Henry Parrish Jr. has been a force, tallying 678 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Ole Miss has won four of its last five home games and seems poised to challenge a Georgia team that often plays tight, low-scoring affairs. The underdog has covered the spread in Georgia’s last seven games, and if this trend holds, Ole Miss could keep it close—or better yet, surprise the Bulldogs. The points are too enticing to pass up in a game where the offense will likely dictate the outcome. Give me Ole Miss and the cover.

Prediction: Ole Miss 31 – Georgia 27

Best Bet: Ole Miss +3

BYU vs. Utah Betting Preview and Expert Pick

All BYU vs. Utah odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook and are correct as of Wednesday, Nov. 6.

  • Spread
    BYU -4
  • Moneyline
    BYU -185, Utah +150
  • Over/Under
    40.5
  • Game Time
    10:15 p.m. ET
  • Location
Rice-Eccles Stadium | Salt Lake City, UT
  • Predicted Weather at Kick
    41 degrees, mostly cloudy
  • How To Watch
    ESPN

For BYU, the path is crystal clear: win out, and a College Football Playoff berth is within reach. Their latest triumph, a 37-24 victory over UCF, showcased quarterback Jake Retzlaff’s dual-threat capabilities. Retzlaff delivered 228 yards and two touchdowns through the air, adding another score on the ground. But the Cougars’ playoff aspirations will face a stern test this weekend at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Utah’s season has been marked by offensive struggles. Ranked 109th in offensive power and averaging just 22.8 points per game, the Utes have found it difficult to sustain drives, converting only 31.1% of their third downs. Quarterback Isaac Wilson has had a rocky campaign, throwing eight interceptions and ranking 115th in passer rating.

Yet, Utah’s defense tells a different story. They’ve built a resilient unit capable of keeping games close, especially at home, where the atmosphere at Rice-Eccles is known to rattle even the steadiest opponents. Despite BYU’s dominance on paper, the oddsmakers have set the Cougars as only 4-point favorites.

This late-night showdown promises to be a test of grit and composure. Utah may be 1-6 against the spread, but they’ve shown they can rise to the occasion defensively. Expect a battle, and don’t be surprised if the Utes make it closer than expected and possibly hand the Cougars their first loss of 2024. Take Utah at +4.

Prediction: Utah 23 – BYU 20

Best Bet: Utah +4
