The Colts are by far the surprise team of 2025.
The Daniel Jones resurgence is real. Jones continues to thrive in Shane Steichen’s offense. Jones is first in QBR (79.7), third in completion percentage (71.7), and seventh in passing yards (1,502).
Jones is also thriving under pressure, his Achilles heel in New York. Jones finished 9 of 9 for 93 yards and one touchdown in Week 6’s win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Jonathan Taylor has been dominant to start the year, with a league-leading 603 yards and seven touchdowns.
Meanwhile, the Chargers needed some late-game heroics to beat the Dolphins 29-27.
Injuries have decimated the Chargers on both sides of the ball. However, left tackle Joe Alt and wide receiver Quentin Johnston have a shot at playing against the Colts, which would be a huge boost for the Chargers’ offense.
The Colts have been impressive all season, and they deserve massive amounts of credit for winning six games. When you break down those opponents, the lack of quarterback competition stands out. The Colts have played against Tua Tagovailoa, Bo Nix, Cam Ward, Matthew Stafford (loss), Geno Smith, and Jacoby Brissett.
The Chargers can exploit the Colts’ defense, especially Indianapolis’ 22nd-ranked pass defense (232.8). Because of Herbert, the Colts should lose their second game at SoFi Stadium this season. Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has also never lost four straight games ATS.

Much to his credit, Jones has protected the ball. Jones has thrown eight touchdowns to only three interceptions.
