Cooper Kupp is heading to the Seahawks. The former Los Angeles Rams receiver is staying within the division and signing with Seattle.

Cooper Kupp Signs With Seahawks

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kupp has agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract with the Seahawks.

The signing comes days after the Rams released Kupp to start the league year.

The Rams selected Kupp in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Kupp became one of the Rams’ most reliable route runners during his first four seasons.

Kupp had his best season in 2021 after the Rams acquired quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Kupp won the receiving triple crown by leading the league in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947), and receiving touchdowns (16). He was named the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year and made the Pro Bowl.

Kupp capped off an excellent year with a dominant performance in the Super Bowl. Kupp caught eight catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams’ 24-21 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The talented receiver won Super Bowl MVP.

After his record-breaking year, Kupp signed a three-year contract extension worth $80.1 million in 2022.

Injuries have plagued Kupp the past three seasons. Kupp has failed to play more than 12 games in each of the last three seasons.

With Puka Nacua and the newly acquired Davante Adams on the roster, the Rams decided to part ways with Kupp.

It’s a homecoming for Kupp, who was born in Yakima and played college ball at Eastern Washington.

Seattle Seahawks Revamp Their Offense

The Seattle Seahawks will have a new-look offense in 2025.

Seattle traded quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders for a third-round pick. Seattle also reconstructed their receiving corps, trading DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers and releasing Tyler Lockett.

The Seahawks’ biggest acquisition is quarterback Sam Darnold, who signed a three-year deal worth $100.5 million.

Seattle also added wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to pair with Kupp and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
