Treatment Of Families: Grade: A, Rank: 4th

The Cowboys provide daycare and a family room during home games.

  • Players rate the post-game family area 9.05 out of 10, ranking them second out of 32 teams
  • Players feel that the team frequently organizes family events, which ranks first out of 32 teams

Food/Dining Area: Grade: B+, Rank: 11th

The Cowboys rate the taste of their team’s food 8.26 out of 10, ranking 13th out of 32 teams.

They rate the freshness of their food 8.58 out of 10, which ranks 13th out of 32 teams.

A third of respondents report ongoing plumbing issues in the locker room.

  • 100% of players feel the locker room size is adequate, ranking Dallas one of five teams in the NFL with a perfect score

Training Room: Grade: C, Rank: 27th

Players report that the training room is understaffed, particularly an insufficient number of physical therapists. They also feel that the training room lacks certain modalities found in most other NFL training rooms.

  • 75% of Cowboys players feel they have enough full-time trainers, ranking 30th out of 32 teams
  • 60% of players feel they have enough full-time physical therapists, ranking dead last out of 32 teams
  • 95% of players feel they have enough hot tub space, ranking ninth out of 32 teams
  • 88% of players feel they have enough cold tub space, ranking 13th out of 32 teams

The training room is one area Jones may want to upgrade.

Training Staff: Grade: C, Rank: 30th

The players feel that the training staff contributes slightly to their overall success, ranking 31st out of 32 teams.

72% of Cowboys players report that they receive enough one-on-one training treatment, ranking 29th out of 32 teams.

Along with the training room, Jones needs to improve the training staff. These are two weaknesses in the organization that players feel need to improve.

Weight Room: Grade: A-, Rank: 11th

The players feel their weight room equipment is high quality, ranking 11th out of 32 teams.

The players feel they have more than enough space to train effectively in their weight room, which ranks 10th out of 32 teams.

Strength Coaches: Grade: B+, Rank: 18th

  • 92% of players report that they get an individualized training plan from their strength coaching staff, ranking 20th out of 32 teams
  • The Cowboys players feel their strength coaches moderately contribute to their overall success, ranking 14th out of 32 teams

Team Travel: Grade: B-, Rank: 23rd

The players feel their team’s travel schedule is somewhat efficient, ranking 17th out of 32 teams.

81% of Cowboys players believe they have a comfortable amount of personal space on team flights, which ranks 24th out of 32 teams.

Head Coach: Grade: A, Rank: 14th

Despite receiving major criticism in the media, Cowboys players gave Mike McCarthy an A.

  • 97% of Cowboys players believe Mike McCarthy is efficient with their time, ranking 12th out of 32 teams
  • The players feel McCarthy is highly receptive to locker room feedback on the team’s needs, ranking 11th out of 32 teams

Unlike the media, it seems like the players had no issue with McCarthy despite him being let go.

Ownership Grade: B, Rank: 18th

Owner Jerry Jones’ average rating for perceived willingness to invest in the facilities is 8.59 out of 10 from the Cowboys players, ranking 16th out of 32 owners in the league.

Players feel that Jones slightly contributes to a positive team culture, ranking 23rd out of 32 teams.

The players feel that Jones is committed to building a competitive team, a rank of 25th of the 32 NFL owners.

Last year, the players gave Jones a B grade and he ranked 19th out of 32 owners. Much like McCarthy, Jones gets blasted in the media but the players seem to feel somewhat differently.
