Daytona 500 Odds: Small Beard Motorsports, Anthony Alfredo Attempting To Come Up Big

Beard Motorsports famously employs one full-time staff member, but the small team rarely falls short during NASCAR Cup Series superspeedway events. 

While William Byron’s consecutive Daytona 500 victories will dominate headlines over the next two weeks, a sidebar on Beard should not be glanced over. 

Over the past five seasons, the No. 62 Chevrolet, piloted by a series of drivers, has continued to compete with the bigger franchises. Over the past two seasons, Anthony Alfredo served as the driver. He will return for a third campaign. 

Last year, the team did not qualify for the “Great American Race,” but earned a P6 in the 2024 spring race at Talladega Superspeedway. Beard has never missed back-to-back Daytona 500s. 

It appears that eight non-chartered machines will vie for the four open spots.   

BetOnline Sportsbook did not list Alfredo among its early odds for winning the 2026 Daytona 500 title. Ryan Blaney (+900) drew the top odds, followed by Joey Logano and Austin Cindric at +1000.

Movie star Kurt Russell will serve as the Daytona 500’s honorary pace car driver. The 74-year-old actor starred in films such as “Tombstone” and “Miracle.”
