Did Justin Herbert Cuss At A Kid Over A Photo Request? Here’s What We Know

Justin Herbert made headlines for all the wrong reasons following the Los Angeles Chargers 22-19 overtime win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. Herbert battled through a hand injury to help the Chargers earn a gutsy victory to stay in the AFC playoff picture, but it was his antics after the game that drew heavy criticism on social media.

Did Justin Herbert Cuss Out A Kid For A Photo Request?

According to a viral tweet from NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, which has already surpassed 4.3 million impressions, Herbert allegedly cursed at a young Eagles fan who asked for a photo after the game.

The clip shows Herbert walking into a suite to meet Madison Beer, family, and friends when a child in a Jalen Hurts jersey approached the booth and shouted, “Justin, can I get a picture?”

A voice immediately fired back, yelling, “Not while you’re wearing that motherf—er!”

While the tweet accused Herbert of cussing out the kid, a closer look at the video tells a different story. At no point does the clip show the quarterback making the comment.

Instead, the voice appears to come from another man in the booth, a guest wearing a Chargers shirt who was standing near Herbert when the child called out.

The boy’s parents later posted the moment with a light-hearted caption, writing, “My son was more star struck seeing Madison Beer anyway lol,” signaling they didn’t view the interaction as malicious or personal.

Herbert Was Already Under Fire For His Postgame Behavior

The viral moment comes on the heels of another postgame incident involving Herbert, who drew criticism for briefly attempting to walk away from an interview with ESPN’s Laura Rutledge.

“I’m trying to celebrate with my team,” Herbert said while heading toward the locker room before ultimately stopping to answer questions.

Whether fair or not, Herbert suddenly finds himself at the center of two separate social-media controversies. But based on the video making the rounds, the remark directed at the young Eagles fan did not come from the Chargers quarterback.

In a week where every camera seemed pointed at him, Herbert’s biggest mistake might simply have been being in the frame.
