DK Metcalf has requested a trade away from the Seattle Seahawks.

Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, Metcalf made his trade request on Wednesday, and the Seahawks have agreed to explore their options. Metcalf also wants a new deal as he enters the final year of his three-year, $72 million extension. Here are five teams who could deal for Metcalf.

Green Bay Packers

Last month, Packers running back Josh Jacobs said the team needs a true No. 1 wide receiver.

Now, the Packers can get their alpha pass-catcher by trading for Metcalf.

The Packers have a young ensemble of wide receivers that includes Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks.

Watson will likely be out for the first half of 2025 as he recovers from an ACL injury. Doubs, Reed, and Wicks have shown flashes of potential, but their destinies are likely as No. 2 or 3 receivers.

Adding Metcalf gives Jordan Love a legitimate threat on the outside for a team contending for the NFC North.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in desperate need of playmakers.

George Pickens is the only dynamic threat in the Steelers’ offense. No other Steelers wide receiver had over 40 catches or 600 yards.

When Pickens is out, Pittsburgh struggles to push the ball down the field.

Metcalf provides the Steelers’ offense with a legitimate running mate for Pickens.

But first, Mike Tomlin must find a quarterback.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots can speed up their rebuild with an excellent offseason.

The Patriots have the most cap space in the NFL.

New England now has the right coach and quarterback combo with Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye.

Now it’s time for New England’s front office to fix their stale offense and give their young quarterback a No. 1 receiver.

The Patriots were rumored to be heavily interested in Tee Higgins before Cincinnati tagged him.

Metcalf would be a solid pivot for a team needing a top pass-catcher.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers completely changed their identity in year one under Jim Harbaugh.

The Chargers emphasized running the ball and building through the trenches. This philosophy resulted in a trip to the Wild Card round.

Now, Harbaugh needs to find another weapon for Justin Herbert.

Ladd McConkey is an excellent receiver who led the team in catches (82) and yards (1,149).

However, McConkey is more of a possession receiver because of his size.

Adding Metcalf would open up the offense and give Herbert a huge target to throw to down the field.

Las Vegas Raiders

Perhaps Metcalf wants to reunite with his old coach.

Pete Carroll, who coached Metcalf for five seasons in Seattle, is now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders must fix their quarterback issues first.

However, trading for Metcalf could help the Raiders turn things around quickly.

Tight end Brock Bowers is already one of the game’s best at the position, and Jakobi Meyers is a terrific No. 2 wide receiver.

With the second-most cap space, the Raiders could easily work out a trade for Metcalf.
