Donald Trump Set To Invite Both Eagles & Chiefs To The White House

The Philadelphia Eagles will be visiting the White House on the heels of their Super Bowl victory back in February. But President Donald Trump is set to extend another invite, as he plans on hosting the Kansas City Chiefs in order to celebrate their championship victory in 2020.
White House Invite Extended To Both Chiefs & Eagles By Donald Trump
A White House visit has become commonplace for sports teams that have won championships over the years. Franchises like the New England Patriots and Golden State Warriors have been well known for their trips to Washington DC, as the tradition has carried on through multiple presidencies and administrations.
It is Philadelphia’s turn. The Eagles pulled off a victory in Super Bowl LIX less than two months ago, defeating the Chiefs in order to claim their second Lombardi Trophy in the last eight seasons. There were questions and even false reports about whether the team would accept the White House invite, but the team squashed rumors by happily agreeing to visit Donald Trump at some point in the coming months.
The Eagles are set to visit the White House—and so could the Chiefs, whom Donald Trump says he will invite for their Super Bowl win in 2020.

But Trump apparently has plans to host another NFL franchise, as well. According to a report released early in the week, the standing President will also be extending an invite to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, who never got their chance to receive the honor when they won the Super Bowl back in 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic was in full throttle in the months following that championship victory, and Kansas City was unable to enjoy the White House celebration.
There have been multiple Chiefs players who have made their support for Donald Trump well known, whether it be from their own comments or by way of social media posts from their significant others.
It might be something of an issue for the Eagles. While the team itself hasn’t released any statement on the matter, a Philadelphia member of congress has issued an official statement, saying that a Chiefs invite is a “full-blown White House participation trophy”.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, fresh off of their World Series victory in October, are also set to make a White House visit in the coming months.
