Emma Raducanu Wins Match And Fires Her Coach On The Same Day At The Miami Open

Raducanu has gone through countless coaches over the years and was working with Platenik on a trial basis. Emma Raducanu will finish the Miami Open without a coach surrounded by the rest of her team.
She started the year with Nick Cavaday who stepped away to spend time at home and focus on his health.
Emma Raducanu’s Struggles
Raducanu has struggled over the years. The 22-year-old has dealt with massive injuries, a coaching carousel, and most recently, a man who exhibited “fixated behavior” on her in Dubai.
Fans want to see her string together a series of wins and go deep in a tournament. She has the game to do it but has not found the winning mojo in recent years.
Coaching Recommendation
Many have suggested that Andy Murray should coach Emma Raducanu. Of course, he is busy working with Novak Djokovic this spring so he is not immediately available. Given Murray’s endless support of WTA players, coaching his fellow Brit seems like a no-brainer.
Goran Ivanisevic is another option since he is free after leaving Elena Rybakina’s team. She needs a top-tier former player who can fully understand her situation and be able to give her the information she needs to improve every element of her game.
