Greg Olsen has made his feelings clear about being pushed aside for Super Bowl 2025 after Tom Brady signed a $375m broadcasting contract with Fox.

The 39-year-old made a successful transition from NFL player to broadcaster, which included an Emmy Award for his work.

Olsen though found himself pushed aside for championship games including the Super Bowl which will air on Fox.

The former Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks tight-end is still with Fox as part of their secondary slate of game-callers.

However, in an interview, he has opened up on his disappointment about sitting at home for Super Bowl 2025.

Greg Olsen Opens Up On Losing Super Bowl 2025 Spot To Tom Brady

Greg Olsen has spoken about his future in broadcasting and whether he will broadcast a Super Bowl again in the future, following Tom Brady’s $375m deal.

Nick Carboni of WCNC asked Olsen whether he sees himself calling a Super Bowl again in the future.

Olsen said: “I hope so. I’ll be honest, it’s hard sitting home on the couch watching the games, and you’re you’re sitting there and you’re living and dying with every broadcast.

“You’re sitting there and you’re dissecting everything that’s said and done, and what would you have said, and what would you have done.

“Listen, I’ve been very honest. My goal getting into this was to not just call regional one o’clock games and just be happy to be there.”

Olsen went on to say that he would take up an opportunity elsewhere if a different broadcaster came calling.

He said: “Wherever it is, whatever network it’s on, whatever opportunity is there, my goal is still to just continue to show that I’m as good, if not better, than anybody in this industry. And I just need a chair.”

Brady’s Future After Super Bowl Questioned

Despite replacing Greg Olsen at Fox, Tom Brady’s status at the broadcaster has been questioned. This is due to Brady becoming a limited owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Fox signed Brady to a massive 10-year, $375 million contract in 2022 to be their lead NFL color commentator. This is the first year of Brady’s contract and he will have the huge job of being part of their team for Super Bowl 2025.

Brady’s relationship with Fox caused issues when the NFL approved him as a limited owner of the Raiders. Brady will also be on the committee to find a new coach after Raiders owner Mark Davis fired Antonio Pierce.

In an interview with the Sports Business Journal earlier this month, Don Yee, Brady’s agent, said his client intends to honor his contract and return to the Fox broadcast booth next season.
