Happy Gilmore 2 Release Date, Celebrity Cameos Revealed

Netflix has finally set a release date for the highly anticipated sequel “Happy Gilmore,” which will premiere on July 25th. The movie finished filming in December and will be available on the popular streaming platform during the summer.

Despite many rumors about its release date, Happy Gilmore 2 is arriving just after the 2025 Open Championship. As golf fans gear up for the last major championship, they will also see some of their favorite golfers in Happy Gilmore. Players like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, and others will appear in the sequel.

Happy Gilmore is one of the most beloved Adam Sandler movies of all-time and fans have been awaiting a sequel for nearly three decades. In the first episode of Season 3 of “Full Swing”, fans can get a sneak peak of scenes from the set of the movie.

Netflix Set To Drop Happy Gilmore 2 On July 25

On Christmas Day, Netflix surprised fans with a movie trailer for the highly beloved Happy Gilmore sequel. The official release date for Happy Gilmore 2 is Wednesday, July 25. As fans are excited to get more context, Netflix hasn’t said much.

The official storyline has yet to be released. Instead, fans were treated to special guest appearances from PGA Tour golfers, NFL stars, and more.

Happy Gilmore 2 was produced by Pro Shop, a media company that the PGA Tour invested in, which is also the same company co-founded by Chad Mumm, the executive producer of Netflix’s Full Swing.

PGA Tour Stars Featured in Upcoming Happy Gilmore 2

Sandler seems to pull out all the stops as he reprises his role in Happy Gilmore. Not only is the original cast coming back like Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, and Ben Stiller as Hal, but he’s also brought on some of golf’s biggest names.

Netflix has revealed that some PGA Tour stars, such as Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, and Will Zalatoris, are slated to star alongside Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore 2. Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Collin Morikawa, and Tony Finau, who were already spotted in the trailer released in February, will also make special cameos.

In addition to PGA Tour stars, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is featured in the movie. In the Happy Gilmore trailer, Kelce appeared as a waiter at a country club for his role.

There has been no official plot release from Netflix, so fans will need to keep waiting for more news.
