Injured Ben Shelton And Tommy Paul Ruled Out Of September Davis Cup And Laver Cup Events

Ben Shelton and Tommy Paul had premature exits from the US Open, dictated by injuries. As two of the top American men, it became clear that they may not be able to participate in upcoming September team events.

Both men were planning to represent the US in the Davis Cup second round qualifiers from September 12-18 in Delray Beach, Florida. Immediately thereafter, Shelton and Paul were slated to play for Andre Agassi’s World Team at the Laver Cup from September 19-21 in San Francisco, California.

Shelton and Paul have now been replaced for both events, leading many to wonder when we will see Shelton and Paul again on a tennis court.
