Alexander has a new home.
The Ravens announced on Wednesday the signing of Alexander.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Alexander has agreed to a one-year deal worth $4 million. Alexander can earn an additional $2 million in incentives revolving around playtime bonuses.
The signing comes one day after Jackson pleaded with Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta to sign his former college teammate.
“Go get him, Eric,” Jackson said to reporters after Tuesday’s practice via Ravens.com. “I love all our corners, don’t get me wrong. But go get him, Eric.”
Alexander and Jackson were teammates at Louisville from 2015 to 2017. Alexander reportedly took less money to play in Baltimore with Jackson.
The Green Bay Packers selected Alexander in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
When healthy, Alexander is an extraordinary talent. The 28-year-old was a Second-Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler in 2020 and 2022.
Alexander signed a four-year, $84 million extension in 2022.
Injuries plagued the back half of Alexander’s time. The cornerback has missed 34 games since the start of the 2021 season.
In February, reports surfaced that the Packers were open to trading Alexander. The seven-year veteran’s 2025 salary was $16.5 million, but none of it was guaranteed.
After failing to execute a trade, the Packers released Alexander earlier this month.
Despite drawing interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers, Alexander ultimately signed with the Ravens.
Jackson was the first one to greet Alexander after the Pro Bowl corner signed his new deal.
Deal breakdown: It’s a one-year, $4 million deal with Jaire Alexander having the ability to earn $2 million more in incentives. $6 million max value. https://t.co/7vecmvjvrh

Alexander is exactly what the Ravens needed to solidify their secondary.
Despite being known for having an elite defense, Baltimore allowed 244.1 passing yards per game (31st in the NFL).
Knowing the unit needed a change, the Ravens hired Chuck Pagano this offseason to be the senior secondary coach. The Ravens then selected Georgia safety Malaki Starks in the first round of this year’s draft.
Starks will play next to All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton.
Alexander will likely play outside cornerback opposite Nate Wiggins. Multi-time Pro Bowler Marlon Humphrey will play most of his snaps on the inside.
Alexander has 287 tackles, 12 interceptions, and 70 passes defensed in seven NFL seasons.
