Klay Thompson & Megan Thee Stallion Make Their Relationship Official

The speculation about Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion received confirmation on Saturday, as it appears that the two have officially confirmed that they are an item.

Klay Thompson Posts “Hard Launch” With Megan Thee Stallion

The internet was ablaze last week regarding the two celebrities. On Wednesday, Megan The Stallion (Megan Pete) took to Instagram to post some summertime poolside photos. In what looked to be a purposeful tidbit, it appeared that there was a familiar face in the background of a couple of the featured photos.

It was nearly unmistakable that it was Klay Thompson who was lounging in a chair near the edge of two of the pictures in the post. There was immediate reaction on social media, as many wondered if the two were a “thing”.

But the conjecture would only last a few days. On Saturday, Thompson did some posting of his own, and made it far more clear of the pair’s intentions.

The theme of the NBA player’s Instagram photos appeared to be a recent/current vacation to the Bahamas. One of the photos in the series was of Thompson and Pete in a clear embrace, which essentially marked the “hard launch” of their budding relationship.

It isn’t the first time that Pete has confirmed a partnership with an NBA player. As recently as 2024, she was linked to Torrey Craig, who played for the Chicago Bulls during the relationship. Thompson was linked to Coco Jones from 2021-2023, and has had reported kinships with Laura Larrier and Eiza Gonzalez.

Klay Thompson played last season with the Dallas Mavericks after spending the first 13 years of his career as a member of the Golden State Warriors. He is still considered one of the greatest shooters of all time, despite the dip in his numbers in 2024-25. During the regular season, Thompson averaged 14 points per game, and shot a respectable 39.1% from three point range.
