With money to help build their company and the DFS market continuing to grow, DFS operator Locker is starting to find its footing. Locker recently announced it raised $2 million through seed funding led by Hatchery Investments. The success allowed Locker to launch their new Leagues product for the 2024 NFL season. This will allow their users to play trivia-style live fantasy games in a social format.
In their Leagues DFS format, Locker will allow users to predict individual outcome events. That includes picking which receiver will have a catch on the team’s next drive and more. Locker announced Leagues is geared toward making their DFS platform a more social setting. They will provide fantasy news sites, social media influencers, live streamers, and athletes with proprietary technology.
Companies that are already partnered with Locker include RotoWire, Fantasy Pros, Ghetto Gronk, and The 33rd Team. CEO and co-founder Noah Bernstein said they are seeing friendships grow through their platforms. They’ve received requests to make private group chats and private leagues.
What is the next step for Locker in this process?
Partners with Locker receive a commission on entry fees and must have at least six entries. In their new Leagues format, there are no limits so nearly everyone has access to compete during NFL games live in the season. CEO Noah Berstein believes Locker is the only DFS operator offering this type of platform to their users.
Ghetto Gronk is a social media influencer with more than 300,000 followers across X and TikTok. Bernstein explained how Ghetto Gronk is the target audience that they are trying to reach and engage with. The influencer would have access to the Leagues format and could show that content on their live streams and social media. Another way for Locker to get their DFS format seen
Late last year, Locker began offering its pick-em-style DFS games. Their new Leagues format kicked off at the beginning of the 2024 NFL season. Locker announced that nearly 500 leagues have been created. Noah Berstein announced that Locker is close to partnering with professional athletes. In the future, Locker plans to expand their sports betting market to the NBA and UFC.
