Malique Ewin hasn’t announced anything official yet, but the signs are all pointing to Arkansas. The 6-foot-11 forward was in Fayetteville for a visit this Monday, and by all accounts, it went extremely well.
Sources close to the situation say Ewin was impressed by everything from the facilities to the coaching staff’s plan for his role. Arkansas is now widely viewed as the frontrunner to land the Florida State transfer.

Arkansas, under head coach John Calipari, is reshaping its frontcourt. With Jonas Aidoo unexpectedly leaving the program, the Razorbacks have a major opening for a big who can contribute right away. That’s where Ewin fits in.

Other Schools Who Were In The Mix
Ewin’s final list included Kansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Virginia. All have made contact and shown interest. But none of those programs have generated the same level of buzz.
Auburn has a crowded frontcourt. Virginia runs a system that may not showcase Ewin’s offensive skill set. Kansas is still sorting out its portal priorities. And Mississippi State is hanging around but doesn’t have the same momentum Arkansas has right now.
