The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off of a dominant year that saw them win their 8th World Series title in the history of their franchise. They have even higher hopes and a stronger roster for the 2025 campaign, and are projected to be a powerhouse once again. The Las Vegas oddsmakers are certainly buying into the hype, as the Dodgers begin the season with a championship odds listing of +275, which is the shortest that we’ve seen in the MLB since 2002.

Dodgers World Series Listing Of +275 Is Lowest Since 2002

No other team even comes close on this year’s odds board. The Atlanta Braves are the next team on the list, and they are all the way back at +750, trailed by the New York Yankees at +850. No other team in baseball has a designation shorter than +1000.

The +275 are the best odds we’ve seen in 23 years, but the 2025 Dodgers are going what they can to avoid the fate of the 2002 Yankees. New York entered that season with +200 odds, and featured a lineup stacked with talent and a pitching staff full of aces. And while they finished with 103 wins that season, the Yankees were bounced in the Divisional Round against the Anaheim Angels, who would go on to win the World Series as a Wild Card team.

LA Dodgers +275
ATL Braves +750
NY Yankees +850
PHI Phillies +1200
NY Mets +1200

It would take a collapse of sorts for the Dodgers to miss out on a second straight World Series title. Not only are they the heavy favorites, but they have a projected win total of 103.5. It is ten games better than the next-highest team (Braves at 93.5), and is the largest projected win total of any MLB team since the 104.5 that the 1999 Yankees were tagged with.

Los Angeles started off the season well, winning each of the two games that they played in Japan against the Chicago Cubs last week. They’ll take on the Detroit Tigers to kick things off stateside for their first official series of the year.
