The Detroit Tigers waited for weeks to find their offense.
It finally appeared in the seventh inning of Thursday’s 6-3 victory over the Cleveland Guardians in Game 3 of the AL Wild Card Series.
Tigers hitters, who slumped during a sub-par September, went 4-for-5 with runners in scoring position to score five runs in the momentum-turning frame and break a 1-1 tie. It was a stark contrast to the first two games of the series. Before the seventh inning, the Tigers generated just three hits in their 23 at-bats with runners in scoring position.
The Tigers’ patience finally paid dividends.

Tork fields. Tork throws a perfect dart to Will Vest. Vest clanks it. 2 runs score. Vest throws an absolute SEED to 2B to get Ramirez at 2nd.
What a wild play.
