NASCAR Cup Series Ambetter Health 400 Entry List: Dates, Event Times, Will William Byron Be Prepared For Atlanta?

With one of his records eclipsed, NASCAR Cup Series Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon hopes more marks will snapped by protege William Byron.
After rallying from P9 at the start of the final lap to Victory Lane, Byron claimed back-to-back Daytona 500 titles. At 27 years old, the Hendrick Motorsports driver became the youngest to compile more than one Harley J. Earl Trophies. Gordon didn’t care.
“I hope he breaks them all,” Gordon said of his records during a press conference. “We talk all the time about how he’s risen through the ranks and won races and championships and continues to do it at the elite level in Cup.”
Benefiting from positioning and luck, Byron maneuvered through three multi-machine incidents over the final 14 rotations at Daytona International Speedway.
“Well, I think you can’t underestimate the amount of preparation and teamwork that we had throughout the week. We had an awesome car.”
Last year, Byron won in a backup car and remained in the lead pack for much of the “Great American Race.” Sunday, he displayed patience. The youngster is developing different ways to enter Victory Lane.
“Yeah, obviously it worked out in a fortunate way for us, but it’s not all luck to win twice in a row,” Byron said. “It’s a lot of teamwork and making the most of it.”
Oh cool Jeff Gordon won
