As the NASCAR Cup Series descends on Darlington Raceway, officials released the schedule of events for the NASCAR All-Star Race Week at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 15-18.

Along with star-studded events and a tribute to the 40-year history of the All-Star event, the four-day festival will be capped by the Cup Series’ $1 million short-track race. Regional races also will be staged.

“There’s never been an All-Star Race Week like this, with more racing and entertainment than at any other time in the history of the event,” Speedway Motorsports President and CEO Marcus Smith said, as reported by NASCAR.com. “From grassroot stocks and modifieds to NASCAR trucks, Cup cars and a concert, NASCAR All-Star Race Week is jam-packed with four days of fun to satisfy any race fan who joins us in the beautiful mountains surrounding North Wilkesboro Speedway.”

With five more points races scheduled before the exhibition, Kyle Larson (+425) enters Sunday’s Goodyear 400 as the sports-betting favorite to visit Victory Lane, according to BetOnline Sportsbook.

Below, we’ll preview the top storylines heading into Sunday’s Goodyear 400, go over the odds, and give our best bets for the eighth race on the 2025 NASCAR schedule.

Goodyear 400 Storylines

  • Beginning with a P40 at Daytona, Ross Chastain continues navigating an up-and-down campaign. With last Sunday’s P6 at Martinsville, the No. 1 Chevrolet pilot recorded two top-10 finishes in his past three starts. The middle effort, however, was a P31 at Homestead. Entering the Darlington weekend, Chastain ranks 13th in the points race and seeks his first win since Kansas last September.
  • In his first four outings with RFK Racing, Ryan Preece started slowly, failing to finish inside the top 15 and twice placed outside of the top 32. Is his comfort level growing with his new team? With last Sunday’s P7 at the first short track of the season, Preece recorded three consecutive top-10s. His next step is ending a winless streak of 194 Cup events.
  • Bubba Wallace earned bronze again. The 23XI Racing driver finished P3 at Martinsville, earning back-to-back top-three finishes for the first time in his five-year career. The new father said he has a new perspective on his life and career.

Goodyear 400 Predictions and Picks

Here are our best NASCAR Cup Series bets for the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway:

William Byron (+900)

Byron, the back-to-back Daytona 500 champion, was the lone driver to lead in each of the circuit’s opening six outings and looks to rebound at Darlington. He has a history with the “Lady in Black,” winning once and capturing four top 10s over the past three seasons.

Brad Keselowski (+2500)

Keselowski’s lone win since 2021 came last spring at Darlington. Can he repeat? Can he contend? After consecutive P26s and two crashes in his opening four starts, the 2012 series champ has yet to record a top 10 this season. Is Darlington coming at the right time?

Erik Jones (+5000)

He has won at Darlington before and compiled two top 10s and 24 laps led over his past six starts. If the longshot doesn’t win soon, he may start looking over his shoulder at his “backup driver.”
