NASCAR Xfinity Series’ Drivers Championship Odds: Justin Allgaier Remains Leader In Week 14

The NASCAR Xfinity Series’ international presence is growing.  

NASCAR officials on Tuesday announced that two provisional starting spots will be added for the series’ race at Mexico City’s Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.  

The circuit’s typical 38-machine field will be expanded to 40 for the Chilango 150 on June 14. 

The provisional starters will not be eligible for prize money or receive playoff points. 

The circuit is set to race in Mexico for the first time since 2008. 

Daniel Dye Loses Tire, Crew Members Suspended 

During last Saturday’s Xfinity Series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Daniel Dye’s No. 10 Chevrolet suffered an unattached right rear wheel on Lap 200. The tire detached along the backstretch while the field was driving under caution, causing Dye’s machine to crash into the wall.  

Per regulations regarding safety protocols, rear-tire changer Jerick Newsome and jackman Richie Williams were suspended from the next two outings. 

Dye enters Saturday night’s Tennessee Lottery 250 ranked No. 15 in the drivers’ standings, 223 points behind leader Allgaier. Dye has one lap led this season.
