Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has rewritten the NBA record book during his 16-year career. On Thursday, he’ll look to extend his all-time record of three-pointers made, and will do so by hitting a mark that was once thought to be an impossible milestone.

Steph Curry Set To Reach Another NBA Milestone On Thursday

As it stands before Thursday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings, Curry is two three-point makes away from hitting 4,000 for his career. It was just over three years ago when he passed Ray Allen to become the all-time leader in league history, and he has racked up more than 1,000 successful attempts in the time since.

He’ll get the chance to hit the milestone at home, as his Warriors will take on the Sacramento Kings inside of Chase Center on Thursday night. The game will be nationally broadcasted on TNT.

His numbers appear to be safe for years to come. Six of the top 10 players on the career three point list are active on the NBA today, but none are close to Curry’s marks. He is more than 800 makes ahead of the next-highest total, which belongs to James Harden, and roughly 1,200 ahead of Damian Lillard, who is in fourth place all-time.

Getting to the 4,000 plateau is another notch in the belt of Steph Curry’s career. He is an 11-time All Star and 2-time scoring champion, and is a 2-time winner of the NBA MVP award. He has become one of the two biggest superstars in the league during hid playing days, and has won four championships for Golden State.

The current version of the Warriors are surging. The team is now 13-1 in games that Jimmy Butler has played in, and have surged from 12th place in the West all the way to 6th, where they currently sit.
