Two NFL teams need new head coaches.
The Tennessee Titans fired head coach Brian Callahan after six games this season. Callahan went 4-19 in his tenure, including 1-5 this year.
The Titans named Mike McCoy as the interim head coach. Since firing Callahan, the Titans are 0-3.
The New York Giants became the second team this season to fire their head coach. The Giants parted ways with Daboll on Monday afternoon following the team’s 24-20 loss to the Chicago Bears.
The Giants led the Bears by 10 points in the fourth quarter before allowing 14 unanswered points to lose.
After leading the Giants to the Divisional Round in his first season, Daboll failed to recapture that magic, going 11-33 the last three seasons.
Offensive coordinator Mike Kafka is now the Giants’ interim head coach.
Next NFL Head Coach Fired Odds
| Next NFL Head Coach Fired | Odds |
|---|---|
| Raheem Morris, Falcons | -150 |
| Pete Carroll, Raiders | +325 |
| Jonathan Gannon, Cardinals | +350 |
| Mike McDaniel, Dolphins | +700 |
| Zac Taylor, Bengals | +750 |
| Kevin Stefanski, Browns | +900 |
More coaches will inevitably be fired. The question is whether it will happen before the season ends.
Atlanta’s Raheem Morris (-150) is the favorite to be the next head coach fired.
In 2024, Morris went 8-9 in his first full season as the head coach of the Falcons. Heading into 2025, expectations were high for the Falcons, especially with Michael Penix Jr. at quarterback.
The Falcons looked like they were turning a corner after an impressive 24-14 win over the Buffalo Bills to move to 3-2. Since that win, the Falcons have lost four consecutive games.
Would Las Vegas fire Pete Carroll (+325) after one season? The AFC West could have three playoff teams — Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, and Kansas City Chiefs — in 2025. The Raiders, who are 2-7, will not be one of those teams.
The Raiders bet wrong on Geno Smith and will need to draft a quarterback. Does the team want Carroll to make that decision?
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was expected to be fired after the team’s 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9. Instead of firing McDaniel, Miami dismissed general manager Chris Grier.
McDaniel will coach the team for the remainder of the season, with no guarantee for 2026.
