NFL Christmas Gameday 2025 Preview

Christmas is still over a month away, so the implications in these matchups could drastically change from now to then.
The Cowboys (4-5-1) are coming off a big win on Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Cowboys’ next three games will determine the fate of their season. Dallas plays the Philadelphia Eagles, the Kansas City Chiefs (Thanksgiving), and the Detroit Lions over the next three weeks. Win at least two of those, and the Cowboys have a chance at the postseason.
Meanwhile, it’s likely a lost season for the Commanders (3-8). The team has struggled to overcome injuries at key positions, like quarterback (Jayden Daniels) and wide receiver (Terry McLaurin).
The Detroit Lions (6-4) are still one of the NFC’s top teams. However, the Eagles proved they are still the team to beat after a tough 16-9 win over the Lions.
The Vikings (4-6) are at an interesting crossroads. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy has been below average. If McCarthy can’t turn the season around, do the Vikings look for another quarterback this offseason?
