The Las Vegas Raiders finished the 2024 NFL season in last place in the AFC West, posting four wins or fewer for the 5th time since 2012. Both their offense and defense ranked in the bottom seven in the league, and talent upgrades were needed all over the roster.

Las Vegas Raiders | NFL Draft Preview

The Raiders entered the offseason with a glaring need at quarterback. It was thought that they’d utilize the 2025 NFL Draft in order to address the situation, but they already did so by trading for Geno Smith. They can now focus their energy and assets elsewhere, and have plenty of holes to fill with 9 draft picks in order to do so.

How Las Vegas use the 6th overall pick? How many picks do they have in total, and who are some players that they might end up selecting?

List Of Raiders Picks In 2025 NFL Draft

The Raiders own their own selection in every round in the upcoming NFL Draft, and have two compensatory picks at their disposal that will be granted as 6th rounders. But will that be enough to address all of their possible needs under a new regime with Pete Carroll? Don’t be surprised to see Las Vegas move down at some point in order to scoop up an extra pick or two.

1st Round, 6th overall

2nd Round, 37th overall

3rd Round, 68th overall

4th Round, 108th overall

Team Needs

Running Back

The best running back on the current roster is probably Raheem Mostert, who posted just 278 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns in 2024. But those are better numbers than any of the other backs on the depth chart, meaning the team is in need of an upgrade. They should be in position to have the first crack at Ashton Jeanty, who is the top running back prospect in this year’s class.

Wide Receiver

The Raiders have one of the most underwhelming wide receiver groups in the NFL. Jakobi Meyers had a 1,000 yard season and Tre Tucker had a solid sophomore campaign, but it is likely that they’ll address the position during the draft. It would be yet another reason to potentially trade down in order to get more second or third round firepower.

Cornerback

Jack Jones was by far the team’s most productive cornerback in 2024, playing on 94% of possible snaps and finishing 4th on the team in total tackles. But the Raiders released the 27-year-old earlier this season, and now have some shoes to fill on the outside of their defense. They did bring in Eric Stokes via free agency, who started 7 games for the Packers in 2024.

Mock Draft (4 Rounds)

1st Round, 6th overall pick: Ashton Jeanty – RB, Boise State

2nd Round, 37th overall pick: Maxwell Hairston – CB, Kentucky

3rd Round, 68th overall pick: Jaylin Noel – WR, Iowa State

4th Round, 108th overall pick: Quinn Ewers – QB, Texas

Sportsbooks Prediction

DraftKings has an odds board for which team is most likely to draft Jeanty. Given their need and their position at no.6 in the first round, the Raiders are the favorites in the category, coming in with a designation of -150. They also have a listing for which player will be selected 6th overall (regardless of team), which Jeanty has a -150 number for, as well.
