NFL Free Agency 2025: Best Remaining Free Agents And Which Teams Might Sign Them

The NFL Free Agency tampering period has begun and numerous players have signed a deal.
Some of the big names are off the board. Sam Darnold, Tee Higgins, and Josh Sweat just to name a few are off the board.
However, many free agents are still waiting to be signed.
Best Remaining Free Agents And Which Teams Might Sign Them
While many of the top free agents are not available, there are still some big names available.
Aaron Rodgers, QB
Future Hall Of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers will become a free agent. He states he still wants to play. Rodgers is not the QB he once was but he got better near the end of the season last year.
Possible Destination: Pittsburgh Steelers or New York Giants – both teams need a QB and have been linked to Rodgers with the Steelers being the most talked about.
Russell Wilson, QB
Wilson started hot with the Steelers but ended very poorly. This explains the hesitancy of the Steelers to bring him back. He is no longer the QB he used to be.
Possible Destination: Pittsburgh Steelers or New York Giants – both teams need a QB and have been linked to Wilson. Wilson wants to return to the Steelers but if they choose Rodgers, Wilson will likely land with the Giants.
Cam Robinson, OT
Cam Robinson was an offensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings but is now a free agent.
He is 29 years old.
Robinson was traded to the Vikings in 2024 after playing eight seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Possible Destination: New England Patriots – After missing out on Ronnie Staley, the Patriots may pivot to Robinson.
Mekhi Becton, OG
Mekhi Becton moved from being a tackle to a guard on the Eagles and had tremendous success.
He became the starting right guard for Philly and started 15 games for them.
Becton helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl.
Possible Destination: New Orleans Saints – Kellen Moore, the Eagles offensive coordinator last year is the head coach for the Saints. New Orleans needs a guard but Becton will likely slide to play left guard instead of right guard.
Teven Jenkins, OL
Teven Jenkins is 27 years old and was a starting guard for the Chicago Bears last season. He can step in and start as a guard for a team in need.
Possible Destination: Cincinnati Bengals – Cincinnati needs to improve its offensive line and is interested in bringing in Teven Jenkins.
Josh Myers, C
Josh Myers will be just 27 years old when the 2025 NFL season begins. Myers is a former second-round pick who started 50 games over the last three seasons for the Packers.
Possible Destination: Atlanta Falcons – Atlanta lost center Drew Dalman in free agency and will look to replace him. Myers can fill that role.
Rasul Douglas, CB
Douglas is a proven solid CB2 and will be 31 when the 2025 season kicks off. He can still be a reliable corner.
Possible Destination: San Francisco 49ers – San Francisco lost many key players and will need to replace them. With losing CBs in free agency, it makes sense for the 49ers to target Douglas.
Kevin Zeitler, OG
Kevin Zeitler has been durable for an interior lineman, starting at least 15 games for 10 straight seasons. He was Pro Football Focus’ third-ranked guard in 2024.
Possible Destination: Minnesota Vikings – Minnesota will want a veteran presence on the offensive line to help JJ McCarthy.
Rico Dowdle, RB
Dowdle had an impressive season with the Dallas Cowboys last season.
He will turn 27 years old in June but he is not as beat up as other 27-year-old backs.
Dowdle can enter a team as a backup running back or as a complement starting back.
Possible Destination: Denver Broncos – After former Broncos running back Javonte Williams signed with the Dallas Cowboys, the former Cowboy back, Rico Dowdle is a target for the Denver Broncos.
Amari Cooper, WR
Amari Cooper was once a very good wideout but he was scarcely used in Buffalo last year.
Cooper is 30 years old but could be a viable wideout for a team.
He may not be what he once was but he could still perform as a WR2 or WR3.
Possible Destination: Los Angeles Chargers – the Chargers need an outside wideout. Cooper could start for the Chargers and be effective with Justin Herbert.
Asante Samuel Jr, CB
Asante Samuel Jr is only 25 years old and is a capable starting corner.
He remains available and could help a team that needs a CB2.
Possible Destination: Buffalo Bills – the Bills could bring in Samuel to start and he would be an immediate impact player for them. The Bills need to improve their secondary and he would be a big boost to the secondary.
