NFL MVP Odds: Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford ‘In Total Command’

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford continues to create a generational-type NFL campaign.

Through 11 starts, Stafford compiled 2,830 passing yards and completed 27 consecutive touchdown passes since throwing his previous interception during Week 3.

At 37 years old, Stafford’s 113.7 quarterback rating ranks first among 46 qualified signal-callers. His 30 touchdown passes are seven more than his closest competitors, Dallas’ Dak Prescott and Detroit’s Jared Goff.

When Stafford delivered this third first-half TD pass last Sunday, a 24-yarder to Davante Adams, the biggest crowd at SoFi Stadium in history started chanting “MVP … MVP … MVP …”

Adams caught two TDs during the Rams’ 34-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Of Stafford, Adams declared: “He’s playing like the most valuable player in the league.”

Stafford (-220) was tagged with the overwhelming top odds to earn the 2025 NFL MVP award. Stafford is becoming so dominant that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has dropped from +400 last week to +2000. Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor was also tagged with a significant drop, going from +850 to +2000.

Guided by Stafford, who overcame offseason back problems, the Rams (9-2) rank first in the NFC and lead the West division by one game over the Seattle Seahawks (8-3).

“I feel like he’s in total command. I think he’s got a lot of trust in the teammates that he’s playing with,” Rams coach Sean McVay said. “There’s a true ownership. I think he’s just totally and completely present and he’s really just enjoying the opportunity to compete week in and week out.
